05 Jun ‘Creativity is the Answer’ for adidas at this year’s World Cup
The long-awaited World Cup spot from adidas continues the brand’s popular #HereToCreate campaign, with the new ‘Creativity is the Answer’ ad boasting their most star-studded cast to date. Featuring A$AP Ferg and Stormzy as masters of ceremony and Zinedine Zidane, David Beckham and José Mourinho supporting from the sidelines, the relentlessly energetic scenes show adidas’ World Cup stars such as Leo Messi, Mo Salah and Gabriel Jesus in action alongside the likes of tennis player Caroline Wozniacki, linebacker Von Miller and freestyle footballer Caitlyn Schrepfer.
The final scene, however, belongs to Pharrell Williams, who proffers the mic to the viewer with the words “now over to you”. That’s not Pharrell’s only contribution though – the music that we supervised for the ad comes from his legendary group N.E.R.D. The track ‘1000’ (feat. Future) starts with a stirringly bassy beat that builds into an exhilarating blur of synths and snares. The tournament final may not take place until July 15th, but clearly we have a World Cup winner here already…
