15 Jul We’re hosting a panel at Beacons Festival…
Record-Play UK are going to be indulging in Britain’s favourite summer activity (apart from watching the Football and Wimbledon), namely, sitting in a field with a beer and lots of loud music. Oh, and we’ll also be running a panel on music in film, too.
Beacons Festival in North Yorkshire is one of our our favourite small UK festival of the year and we’ll be taking over their Into The Woods cinema tent for an hour from 3pm on the Saturday to discuss how music ends up on film, the process, and most importantly, showing some of our favourite film clips famous (and infamous) for their music use. We’ll be being joined by an all star industry line up including composer and Salford University lecturer Simon Connor, Lime Pictures‘ Kate Blakemore, Tony Morley (Leaf Label founder) and musician and TV score composer Tom Morris, all moderated by our very own Dan Garber.
This year’s musical line up features the likes of The Fall, Jon Hopkins, Hookworms, Charli XCX and more. You can read a review on last year’s event over at our in house blog, The-Monitors, HERE.
