While Egmont Magazines reported a 20% increase in circulation, and D C Thompson also showed good results, the general trends in magazine readership made for worrying reading with Bauer performing particularly badly.
In the music magazine sector, paid-for mags continued their slow decline. Particularly surprising was a 19.7% drop for Q Magazine despite former The Word editor Andrew Harrison winning critical acclaim for changes he’s implemented since taking over in February.
