Apple TV seems to be setting a trend for the future of TV and films – no discs. The $99 device can stream all your iOS services straight through your TV while your iPhone or Mac can continue with something different. The possibility of digitally (ie no wires) spreading your information across all your platforms seems to be a good way forward.
