BMG Rights have kicked off the bidding for EMI this week by handing their bid to EMI’s current owners Citigroup. Warner, Sony and Universal are all also suspected to hand in bids. The deal is set to reach up to the $3 billion range. Luckily for the buyers, Goldman Sachs and Credit Suisse have already said they’ll be happy to help fund the project.
