Cult.Cartel Brazil artist Derlon in UK

Derlon is one of the rising stars of the Brazilian graphic scene and has presented his original artwork internationally along with being able to note Michael Palin as one of his fans.

Inspired by and referencing the traditional woodcut cordel techniques of the Pernambuco region where he is from, an upcoming appearance at ¡VAMOS! (a festival that celebrates Spanish and Portuguese speaking cultures in Newcastle and Gateshead) will be this Brazilian artists debut UK commission and takes place at a large scale outdoor secret location to be unveiled only a few days before the event itself.

Derlon is represented by Cult.Cartel, an agency we’ve partnered with, who manage relations between Brazilian musicians and street artists and a wide range of consumer brands in Europe. This collaboration continues Record-Play’s move into the Brazilian market as a music consultancy, which already includes our on-going media partnership with Trip Magazine to whom we provide music editorial and our co-operation with label and publishers YB Music who represent our Music Hub service in the country.
