We’re happy to finally share some of the work we’ve been doing for Australia and New Zealand’s leading online fashion and sports retailer THE ICONIC.
As warmer weather approaches the southern hemisphere, THE ICONIC has reached out to Australia’s most exciting creatives, from models to photographers they admire, to share a snapshot of their summer and what makes it special. To amplify this campaign’s message, Record-Play supervised and licensed “Summer” by London-based multi instrumentalist Skinshape.
We love this track, it just feels effortlessly cool and harks back to 90s Manchester Hacienda days. It really evokes those relaxed sunny days and long summer evenings full of possibilities.

For their summer runway Record-Play did the music supervision and licensing. We chose another favorite, “Ride On Time” by Black Box and it’s great to see it used in such a fun and feel good way. 2020 has been a challenging year for us all and projects like this make you smile amongst the madness. This is such a legendary track and one that never fails to get us on the dancefloor. The Iconic were looking for something that brought a smile to people’s faces, but also was a well-respected and iconic track to match the cool and viral-moment-in-the-making visuals.
